For Model Railroad Equipment Manufacturers, this is a rare opportunity not only to have your name in front of thousands of model railroad enthusiasts and new-comers, but to also allow them to see your equipment
in proper setting and in action.

When model railroading equipment is donated, that equipment will be used somewhere on the layout. Everywhere that equipment is used, there will be a plaque describing the equipment and who makes it. The more equipment you donate, the more your name will be displayed around the layout. Model railroaders may already know your name. Having your name around the layout lets them know you care not only about organizations like this, but that you care about model railroaders - allowing them to see and try your equip-ment before they buy. But more importantly, new model railroaders don't usually know very many manu-facturer's names when getting started, and the first names they learn usually stay with them throughout their entire time in the hobby. Since OzRail displays to thousands of non-model railroaders each year, with an eye on bringing them into the hobby, your name will be one of the foremost names in their minds. In addition, providing the amount of your donation warrants it, we will dedi-cate an industry on the layout to your business. Since this is a fantasy (free-lance) layout, we are able to depict your business as one that has railroad service - whether it really does or not. This way, in addition to your name being in areas where your donated equipment is located, there will be an actual industry on the layout with your name on it. This means that model railroaders* will actually be delivering and picking up freight cars at your business during our operating sessions - giving specific exposure to your business. Of course, visitors just viewing the layout will see it as well.

You are welcome to provide any part of this depiction of your business you wish: design, materials, even complete work if you like. Whatever part of it you may not wish to do, we will do. If the equipment you donate is rolling stock, we have a system where anybody can quickly and easily pull that equipment up on computer terminals around the layout to get all information about it, including the manufac-turer and MSRP. Further, if you would like input from our crews as to how the equipment works (beta testing, for example) or any modification we see that would improve it, you only need to indicate that with the donation. We will get back to you on any findings. Dollar for dollar, we think you'll find that your donations to OzRail provide you with more exposure and publicity than any other advertising you do. Think about it. You pay $200 for an ad in a magazine, and it's gone in one month. You donate $200 worth (manufacturing cost) of equipment to OzRail and it, and your name, will be in front of the public and active model railroaders for years to come.
