Our Purpose

As a year-round destination vacation location for model railroaders, they can come to learn any or all aspects of building or running a model railroad.

Being the largest of anything is always a tourist attraction. As a must-see tourist location, the general public is introduced to all the disciplines they can master as a family when participating in the World's Greatest Hobby - model railroading

As a center for the model railroading hobby, local families can have fun together while learning valuable life skills which are also useful for work. Yes, learning can be fun.

Research, development, and testing is a big part of OzRail, for the betterment of the hobby and all who participate in it. We never stop learning

Providing a permanent display of HO-scale model railroad products in action allows modelers to learn not only what is available, but also how to use it all.

While most museums forbid guests to touch anything, even take photos, we encourage them not only to take photos and touch the trains and things, but also to participate in operating them - to learn all they can about the World's Greatest Hobby, and to become an active model railroader.
