We
used to sell lead speaker enclosure kits. Rather than that, we now sell
0.040" thick sheet lead in bulk. This allows you to use the lead
for other things such as weighting cars. It also saves you money in
the long run. A great deal of the cost of the speaker enclosure kit
was our labor to cut the lead up into small pieces. Since you can do
that, you save that money two ways: eliminating our labor, and less
waste.
We sell this bulk lead in three sizes: small (36 square inches), medium (65 square inches), and large (102 square inches). The lead enclosure kit instructions come with each piece. To give you an idea as to how far this goes in making speaker enclosures, our LS-O (large oval) speaker requires less than 8 square inches. A 1" round speaker requires less than 5 square inches. A large 3" round speaker can take up to 28 square inches. |

Lead is toxic when ingested. Keep it away from children, don't eat it,
don't suck on it, don't lick it, don't eat snacks or lick your fingers
while working with it, and wash your hands when finished. In short,
