The Radio O/G Chief starter set is identical to the regular Radio Chief starter set, except the Radio O/G Chief set comes with an eight-amp booster for the higher amperage needs of O and G scales. The Radio O/G Chief is also applicable to the high-current needs of some American Flyer equipment. Note: It is not recommended to use an eight-amp booster for N and HO scales, nor with the newer S-Scale equipment, without also using a PM42 to limit the maximum current to the track.

Except for the Radio Throttle and Receiver, all of the other components and features of the Radio O/G Chief are identical to those of the regular Chief, so refer to the Chief page for more information about the Chief. Refer to DT300R for more information about the Radio Throttle and to UR91 for more information about the Radio Receiver.

The Chief starter set comes with everything you need to get started, except a power supply. You may, however, want to get a few more decoders - enough to run as many locos as you want to get started with.
