The Panasonic CR2032 is a 3-volt battery, and is available at most places that deal in button batteries. If you can't find one, or just don't want to waste your time looking for one, you can order them here.

The DCS100 and DCS200 (Chief command station/boosters) require a button battery to keep the memory alive when power is shut off to the unit. These boosters have two wells for button batteries - not so you can put two in, but so you can do a hot-swap of batteries.

Changing the battery is easy, just a little time-consuming.

1. Turn the system off.
2. Disconnect the wires from the front.
3. Remove the case screws that hold it together and take it apart.
4. Clean the new battery surfaces to be sure there's no manufacturing scum on it.
5. Insert the new battery into the empty battery well.
6. Wiggle it around a little to be sure it's making contact.
7. Remove the old battery from its well.
8. Re-assemble the case and re-connect the wires.
