| These
sound units can be controlled by decoder, regular on/off switch, magnetic
reed switch, or almost any other innovative way you can think up.
They are not tiny (1.56" x 1.25" x 0.44"), but will
easily fit in most HO scale cars and larger, or on or under the bench-work. |
 |
| These
sound units have 30 seconds of sound recording. It's generally divided
into two sounds with 15 seconds of recording each. Some have varying
amounts (even one long 30 second recording). It is noted when the
sound is not divided into two 15-second recordings.
These units do not come with a speaker but can use any size of 8-ohm
speaker. Generally speaking, the larger the speaker that you use,
the better. Keep in mind that speakers with enclosures will sound
better and have more volume. If you must use a small speaker, get
one of the oval speakers we have
listed.
A source of 12 to 18 volts, AC or DC, is necessary to make it work.
This can be from a wall-plug power supply, or straight from DCC track
power.
