Any place you will want to do
OPS-Mode Read-Back must be block-detected by a Digitrax BDL162 or
BDL168 block detector (usually
used for detection to achieve signaling). A Digitrax RX4
Transponding Receiver must be attached to that BDL162 or BDL168
for the block where the OPS-Mode Read-Back is to be done. The Loco
must have a Transponding decoder with the last digit of "3",
such as the DH163IP or DN163K0A, with Transponding turned on. With
that loco in the Transponding-receiver-wired-block, the CV value will
be returned almost instantly when you press the DISP button in the
context of doing the normal Read-Back procedure.
OPS-Mode Read-Back is not intrusive. You do not need to bother with
it unless you want to use it. |
